I don't believe he should quit but he needs to put in the hard yards and perhaps see a sports psychologist.

This shows the dangers of turning pro too young and unproven ala Michelle Wie. He needs pay his dues on some mini-tours then take a crack at the PGA Tour again, he is still young, he should not give up.

This guy used to be able to get up and down out of a garbage can. These days, he's just garbage. Turning pro too early with the entourage he had is hilarious. Good luck in Canada, Europe or where ever he may end up...it won't be on the PGA tour.

I agree with "On Nov-20-2006, Greg" if he wants to keep playing (who can say he does after that) he's got to go and learn again.
Pretty tough when you've got no status anywhere. Try the Australasian PGA tour or something like that.
Seriously though I think he should bail and stop th mental anguish this must be creating for himself.
Sounds like an each way bet post I know!

Obviously the ney sayers never play golf at a level higher the freshman team for there high school golf team. Ty is tremendously talented, but this can be a cruel game. He has shown the potential to compete at the PGA Tour level, and he will again. This may not happen until his mid to late twenties, but he will win on the PGA tour at some point, just as Arron Baddley did this last year.

Ty is still the man! There will be no fuckers for a long time who will make it through Q-School at 17!!. All the best for the New Year wherever he plays!!!
Goodluck.

Hey Tommy you are an idiot. I believe David Duval is playing solid so far this season so hes not washed up. Also Ty may not be shooting low scores, but that does not mean hes washed up. Another thing is if you really dont know the situation with him and his wife or whatever, you shouldn't be ripping on him about that.

at risk of sounding anti-american, why does garshgolf think that Europe is below the pga tour? Granted ost of Europe's stars now play there they stiil play mainily and europe and it is why we nailed you in the Ryder Cup Just because there isnt as much money doesnt mean that the standard isnt as good and there is a big world outisde america. on a more positive note it would be interestig to hear your opinions on Oliver Fisher, Nick Faldo's protege from the UK who earned his card at 18 and has made every cut so far ... better than ty or going to end u the same?

I rate Oliver Fisher and his results obviously showed as he was No:1 amateur in the world. He may succeed as he didnt have the comforts and lifestyle Ty had. Goodluck to him although he seems very cocky.

i can tell you from competing against ollie he is not cocky but i can see how he gives the impression that he is .. a lack of media training is the only reason why he appears to be this way
