A LONE BIRDIE ON THE 18TH WAS ALL Tryon could manage on day 3 as his putting woes continued. After a solid first day, Ty has had 64 putts over the course of the last two rounds and sits near the bottom of the field to make the cut.

ON THE NUMBER. Not even 3 bogies and a double were enough to keep Ty from the weekend this time as he squeaked inside the cut, on the number. He's not 5 shots out of the top 10, so it'll take a pretty good number on Saturday to make a significant move.

TRYON OPENS UP WITH A 68 at the Rheem Classic down in Arkansas. He only made 2 birdies, but had zero bogies (I can't remember the last time that happened) and currently sits in 15th place, but is only 2 shots inside the cut line. Hopefully he'll play well again Friday and cash a check this weekend.

TRYON CONTINUES TO STRUGGLE as he misses his 5th consecutive cut of 2004, this time in Arkansas on the Nationwide Tour. A pair of 76's left him 6 shots on the wrong side of the number. His 2nd round featured 2 double bogies and 36 putts.
