NOT EVEN TRAVELING TO THE OTHER SIDE of the world has helped Tryon's game. After opening with a respectable one under par 71 in the 1st round, he
ballooned to a 78 and missed the cut by 5 shots. But from the looks of his scorecard, the wheels really began coming off on the final hole of his 1st round.
Sitting at 3 under par after 17 holes (and inside the top 20), Ty made double on the last. He followed that with 3 more bogies and another double on the front nine of round 2 on his way to a smooth 40 that ended his chances of cutting a check.

NOT MUCH BETTER IN ROUND TWO FOR TRYON. He did manage to birdie 3 of his last 6 holes, but still finished with a 2-over-par 72 and
missed the cut by 5 shots.

A SHAKY START FOR TRYON on his 2004 debut. Four bogies, an eagle, and a 9 on his way to a
disappointing 77. He'll probably need a 67 or better to make the cut tomorrow.
