He had 23 events from the time he got the medical exemption in July 2002 to the end of this season to get in the top 125, and since then he has played 19 PGA Tour tournaments. There are like 5 events left he could get into even though I'm sure q-school must start sometime within the next month or so...does he have to go through all the stages again if he goes back?

What's wrong? Easy. He developed on a fast track with unrealistic expectations from his father. Try going down the proven route...junior golf, college golf, mini-tour. This isn't basketball!

Can we say flash in the pan? The mentality it takes to succeed at this level takes years to develop, yet we're looking for results from someone who's barely old enough to vote. The jump from amateur to pro that Ty has experienced rarely works in any given sport. He's attempting this leap in professional golf, which is proven to be the ultimate test of patience and endurance. Not going to happen; 19 year olds should be playing video games, not appearing in them.
