MUCH BETTER START FOR TRYON in today's second round. He shot a bogey-free 2 under par 34 on his front nine, but still needs a 33 or better to survive the cut. More later.

UPDATE: Ty's 2nd round is finished - a one under 70 thats going to leave him 5 shots off of the cut line. His solid front nine was followed up by 2 bogies over the next 8 holes before a birdie at the 18th. Putting was again a problem as Ty had 30 on his round.

Next action for Tryon is next week at the Fed Ex St Jude Classic.

What happens to the site when, not if, but when Ty loses his PGA Tour Card...?

Um, it becomes alot less popular? :)

This site started 3 months before Tryon won his tour card, so it'll just continue on if he loses it.

The kid is still a teenager so you have to look at his first full year on tour with a grain of salt. He will be back whether or not he loses his card when he gets more maturity and understanding of the game. I think he obviously has what it takes. There is a learning curve, that's all.
