AFTER GETTING ALL THE WAY INTO 2ND PLACE ON Saturday behind Tiger Woods, Tryon faded back with a 74. But on Sunday, Ty made 4 birdies and only one bogey to finish with a 69. He's currently all the way up to 12th place. More updates later...

UPDATE: With only the final group left to finish up, Tryon is going to get his first ever Top 10 Finish and a pretty good sized check.

Golf Digest says that Ty gets a passing grade. The Orlando Sentinal headline is Tryon builds footing and had a couple of quotes from Ty:

I laid up on par 5s two times, and I didn't really do anything aggressive," he said. "I just knocked it around on the green, and on the fairways and let it roll. And I didn't make any mental mistakes or anything." "I think it was better for me being a little more conservative," Tryon said.

If Ty makes the $500,000 does he have unlimited tournaments for the rest of 2003 and complete status for the entire 2004 season also?
