TURNING OVER A NEW LEAF? BACK ON a golf course that he's intimately familiar with seems to be helping Ty get some confidence back. With only 2 holes remaining in his 2nd round (finishing up this morning due to bad weather Friday), Tryon is 5 under for the day and sitting in 7th place.

UPDATE: Ty just finished up his 2nd round with two more pars, giving him a solid 67, 4-under for the tournament, and 7th place. He's finally gonna cash a check in 2003!

UPDATE #2: Ty's 3rd round tee time is 12:42 pm Eastern time. He'll be playing with Robert Gamez (also a local Bay Hill guy), and Stephen Leaney.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but is there still a rule that if a player finishes in the top ten they can play the following week? I am not sure if it appies for The Players though.

The rule is still there, but it most definately doesn't count for the Players, the Majors, or any other invitationals.
