TY PROBABLY DIDN'T THINK IT COULD get any worse for him after yesterday's opening 80. But after a stinker of a 78 today, he actually dropped three places in the standings. He's currently only beating 5 other players. Five. And that includes the 80 year old announcer Roger Maltbie who shouldn't really count. Its so bad for Ty right now, that he's made more double bogies (2) than he has birdies (1); and he has as many triple bogies (1) as eagles (1).

Thru two rounds, he currently ranks 145th (of 178) in 'putts per round' and 139th in 'greens in regulation'. There probably isn't a worse combination of statistics than that.

The good news - and there is always good news - is that it really can't go anywhere but up from here.
