Also, this event is much like the PGA Tour event held at Pebble Beach every year in that is also a pro-am team competition. The BBC has some information about the amateur that Ty is paired with this week. The BBC is referring to him as 'The Boy From The Bush' yet he managed to outscore both his professional partners with a four-under-par 68 in the opening round at St. Andrews. Interesting stuff.

All-in-all, not a bad showing for his first venture across the Atlantic as a professional. The type of golf required at links courses is so different than what he's used to in Florida, that keeping his score around par is actually quite an accomplishment. We'll look for better next week.
