IN THE COMMENT SECTION OF this entry, Dayne points out that Ty has been invited to participate in the ADT Skills Challenge later this fall. I'd be shocked if he didn't accept the invitation. Its not as if this event is physically taxing if he's still ailing from mono; and I beleive he'll be under pressure from Callaway to make a public appearance (they aren't paying him all that cash so he can lay on the couch all day).

That said, he didn't play in the Reno/Tahoe event, and isn't in the field for the Air Canada Championship this week either, so I think he's still not physically healthy.

UPDATE: The ADT Skills Challenge will be held November 18th and 19th in Boca Raton, Florida

Ty never really had mono and we good golfers know that. It is just a cover up for him playing so terribly. You saw him miss all those cuts, they were pretty good consistent over par scores, nothing under par. And I talked with some officials that know exactly what is going on, and he just needs time and practice. We will see at the skills challenge.

I am correcting my comment I made earlier! Ty maybe was a little ill, but not ill for several months like the press said he was. Ty just needed a cover up for a few months so that they could work on his swing, because he knew that his swing isn't fit to play on the PGA Tour level. The even to a couple over par scores are not going to make the cut for sure. He is just going through a slumo, and I personnaly know what that is like. I attend the International Junior Golf Academy, and I have my junior and senior year left, and then I plan on getting a scholarship to the UF and going on the win the National Championship. And after that I then will hopefully move on and do what Charles Howell III is doing except maybe better. But this past season I was shooting good low 70 scores and now I am shooting high 70s and low 80s, because of some changes in my swing my coach Skip Malek made. So therefor that enabled me to compete, but I just have to give it time. Just like Ty! Well will see at the EMC. Thank you!
