FIRST ROUND PLAY AT THE HONDA Classic is finally underway, and Tryon finally managed to card his first round under par this year with a 1-under 71. He currently sits in 70th place and is probably going to need to shoot 2-under or better in the second round to make the cut.

UPDATE #1: With 8 holes left in his second round, Ty is 3-under for the tournament and in 44th place.

UPDATE #2: Play has been suspended due to darkness, and Ty is going to miss the cut. After getting to 3-under for the tournament, he promptly made 4 consecutive bogies and sits three shots shy of the cut line with two holes to play.

In all due respect, Kuchar is 6 years older than Tryon. I think its a pretty good bet that Tryon will get his first win on tour at a younger age than Kuchar was able to do it.
