TRYON'S TOO YOUNG BECAUSE he's an American? Thats the position taken by CNNSi as they compare the treatment of Aaron Baddeley to that of Tryon. For those that don't know him, Baddeley is an Aussie who won the Australian Open as an 18-year old in a final round duel with Colin Montgomerie & Greg Norman, but has had virtually no success here in the US. (As a side note, give Baddeley time, he's an incredible talent that at this point just seems a bit overwhelmed with 'who' he's playing against in the US, and not so much 'how good' they are playing.) The biggest difference -- beside the fact Tryon earned his tour card and Baddeley is 0-for-2 at Q-school -- is that no one thought Baddeley skipping college was a terrible idea. Perhaps that's because Tryon is an American and Baddeley is Australian. Maybe golf isn't as global as everyone thinks. The author also makes a comparison to how Sergio Garcia was received verses Ty.
