Thats the opening sentence in GolfWeek's Tryon quiets critics, aces 1st stage exam article. I don't really agree with that statement though. There's just no way to eliminate all the doubters out there. Even if Ty qualifies for the tour, some (probably many) will say its still a waste and a bad idea unless he has an extreme amount of success immediately. Simply qualifying won't be enough to 'justify' his decision to turn professional to many people. Ty's first stage performance is also noted in the Orlando Sentinel.
