Duval Returns To PGA Tour
It wasn't all that long ago that I was wondering where David Duval was at, and now he's back playing the Tour (at least for now).
He's doing well after 3 rounds at the Viking Classic, but he needs to make a bunch of money in the next few tournaments just to keep his card for next year. He used his last 1-time exemption to keep status for this season and then ended up missing most of the year after his wife had a difficult pregnancy.
Here's hoping he finishes well. The tour could use him around again.
Behemoth Guitar and Interview
MetalKult has a really great series of video interviews and riff demonstrations with Behemoth frontman Negral.
Death metal isn't usually my thing (I like old-school Thrash better), and I don't think I'd ever heard a single Behemoth song until seeing these two video sets, but they made me want to give them a listen.
Potato Fork
Disposable cutlery made from potatoes. I generally don't like the idea of taking food and making non-food products out of them. It ends up raising the price of that food because of the decreased supply.
Here's evidence of whats happening to the price of corn because of ethanol production.
DETHKLOK Guitar Lesson
This is apparently from Adult Swim (I don't watch it, so I wouldn't know), but regardless, I found it funny.

MP3 Price Wars
Is the opening of Amazon's DRM-free MP3 store the beginning of an MP3 price war? We can only hope.
Midnight Meat Train Trailer
Trailer for Midnight Meat Train based on the Clive Barker short story of the same name.
Democrats Trying To Raise Taxes
Dem proposes huge tax increase to fight the 'global warming' boogeyman.
I particularly like Dingell's reasons for the elimination of the interest deduction:
He estimates that would affect 10 percent of homeowners. He says "it'' only fair" to tax those who buy large suburban houses and create urban sprawl.
Only fair. Heck, I'm surprised he didn't say its for the children. Is it urban sprawl for someone to build a 3500 sq ft house in po-dunk Kansas? Its not urban here (and in large parts of this country) to begin with so the idea of sprawl in the midwest is a joke. And never mind factoring in whether you are a single bachelor or a family with 7 kids - nope, 3500 sq ft is large regardless.
Bored With Fahrenheit 451
I ordered Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 a couple of months ago and after letting it sit for quite a while on the shelf, I finally got around to reading it. How disappointing!
The only good thing I can think of to write about this book is that is has a great premise. But the actual story is just plain boring and under-developed. I'm not sure how this book became so popular/important. Surely, someone else has written a better novel using a similar premise.
Gibson Powertune
Gibson has launched Powertune a freaky new feature that can actually tune your guitar for you.
Everything Tarantino Nominated
My Quentin Tarantino website got nominated in the Movies.com Annual Poll in the Best Unofficial Movie Site category. You can vote for the site thru October 1st.
The Male Bikini
Some scary male bikinis (NSFW). I'm not even sure if Borat would wear this stuff.
Magnum PI Movie?
Nicholas Cage may star in a Magnum PI movie. Thats a bad idea - not just Nick Cage, but the movie too.
Crankbait Art
Custom painted crankbaits as art. Some pretty cool designs here. I suppose lots of them would actually catch fish too
For The Person With Everything
