While I've been a bit underwhelmed with Fred Thompson since he officially announced for President, this video message to Iowa voters just reinforces my good feelings about the guy. He seems like the kind of guy that could actually change politics for the better.

For too long now, politics has been on a descent into bitterness and anger between the two sides. A large portion of that descent is due to 'gotcha' type journalism that has spread down among the bloggers. Fred is the only candidate (on either side) that I think wouldn't let that kind of crap stand without a retort - something similar to what he did to Michael Moore.
