Looking At The Ramseys Again?
Here is an analysis of the JonBenet Ramsey ransom note. The writer makes some interesting points, though I don't have a clue whether they are generally good at what they do.
I just have to wonder though, lots of folks basically apologized to the Ramseys when Karr was first arrested. Now that his story has fallen thru, does the suspicion go right back to the family?

Sony PS3 Shortage?
Good luck getting your hands on a PS3 this winter - it appears that Sony will only be able ship 50% of the units they had originally planned. Plus, you can bet that they had planned for there to be a 'shortage' anyway - to keep buzz going and justify the $600 price tag.

Orwell On Pacificsm
Bunch of George Orwell quotations. I particularly like the one about Pacificsm.
Pacifism is objectively pro-Fascist. This is elementary common sense. If you hamper the war effort of one side you automatically help that of the other. Nor is there any real way of remaining outside such a war as the present one. In practice, 'he that is not with me is against me'.

Google Spreadsheets
Google is now offering a hosted spreadsheet application for free. This probably spells the end for programs like Microsoft Works, and depending on how they push it could have a real impact on Excel.

Throwing The WSOP
Is Jamie Gold going to lose the World Series of Poker main event on purpose? Sure sounds like he's seriously considering it.
He says he doesn't want to be famous, but now that the cats out of the bag, he'll be even more famous if he throws the event.

AOL finally lets the world cancel their accounts. In 3 years, will they still even be in operation? I rather doubt it.
