Kerry Website Scrambling

The Kerry website is tweaking its D-Bunker thread about his military medals because of the ABC video thats to air on Monday. The original D-Bunker article is here via Google's cache.

Notice the current 'Right Wing Fiction' is John Kerry lied about throwing his medals during a Vietnam War protest. The ABC video on Monday will prove this 'fiction' to be a truth, so look for this Kerry explanation to be altered yet again.

UPDATE: Kerry responds on GMA. His reply hinges on his distinction between ribbons and medals that he thinks was clear, but nobody else reported back at the time. Gibson nails him w/ the last question - which he never answers:
GIBSON: let me ask you, too, about two other things that you have said. subsequent to that. 1985, you said to ""the washington post,"" it is such a personal thing i did no want to throw my medals away. then 1996, you said to the ""boston globe,"" i didn't bring my own medals to throw because i didn't have time to go home and get them. which one was it?

UPDATE #2: The NY Times and the LA Times are both misrepresenting Kerry's miltary dates of service, for some unknown reason. Incompetance perhaps?

UPDATE #3: I'm bring some of my comments from this thread (see comment 4) up to here because they help further explain my position here:
I'll agree, there would be nothing dishonorable about throwing away the medals. But there is something dishonorable about misleading the public in 1971 as to what you did, and then years later claiming he "never ever implied that I did it" all the while blaming Republicans for circulating a myth. A myth that turns out to be of his own creation.
