Wireless XP Without Router
I wish I had seen this article about XP's support for ad hoc wireless networks without the need for a wireless router before I had went out and bought a my wireless setup. Though if you are only networking 2 machines - buying 2 wireless network cards is just as expensive as buying a router + 1 wireless network card.
