Nebraska Football
Former Husker Trev Alberts is claiming to be thrilled that Nebraska has hired ex-Raider coach Bill Callahan to run their football program. I think its a horrible hire for Nebraska. Callahan took a great Raiders team, and rode John Gruden's system all the way to the Superbowl, thats worth something. But when Callahan then chaged the system to run his way the next year, well ... he's not coaching the Raiders anymore, so we know how that turned out.
Maybe he'll do better in college than he did on his own in the NFL, but I doubt it. And if I'm right, then Nebraska's football program hasn't even seen the beginning of the mediocrity they will slip into.
