Our Horrible Children
Since March 12th, a 6th grader has been suspended from bringing a knife to science class.
He wanted to cut open the onion he was giving a presentation on to show off its layers and smell. He's currently facing a 1 year expulsion for "possession of a dangerous weapon". At least not everyone has lost their sense of humor about situations like these: Said Tammy Peyton, another Cherokee parent: "The knife wasn't a weapon in anyone's sense of the word. The only thing he threatened was the onion."
