Our Horrible Children
A thirteen-year-old in Texas gets arrested after police find 5 bombs in his bedroom. The cops aren't sure what he was going to do with them (UPDATE: now they say he was planning on detonating them at his school), 
but its a pretty safe bet that they weren't part of a school science project. I still fail to understand how kids can have an arsenal in their bedrooms without their parents knowledge. Its really not that difficult to figure out what your child is up to - all you need to do is pay attention. The kid's father makes the statement every parent/neighbor has said about every criminal: "He's a good boy."
